Discover the steps involved in making an exclusive piece of jewellery

The goldsmith's art is a craft that is still handed down within families, who carefully preserve the experience of the past, combining it with modern designs and unique details.

The jewellery in our production is unique and non-repeatable, as the stones we use are natural and different from each other. This makes our productions exclusive and aimed at an enthusiastic public that is aware that they are not only purchasing a piece of jewellery that is the result of inspiration and imagination, but also a work of the intellect whose value goes beyond the gold and stones used.

ROUGH DIAMONDS

Symbol of love, wealth and power, the diamond is actually a true miracle of nature.

Its composition is pure carbon crystallized in the typical cubic tetrahedral structure.

This crystallization occurs at very high temperatures which in nature are found only 200km deep within the globe. The diamond crystals are brought to the surface thanks to the volcanic eruptions of a rock called Kimberlite; for this reason the mines often arise inside the craters of small - and today extinct - volcanoes, or along the course of some rivers created by lava flows.

It is about creating facets through precise fractures, that reflect each other creating a refraction, as happens in a game of mirrors.

This phase, which sometimes requires years of study, is really crucial, as the beauty of a diamond and consequently that of the jewel comes from a good cut, respecting its proportions, symmetry and finish.

HISTORY OF JEWELERY

THE DESIGN

It's the first stage.

It often arises from an idea, from a spot of color or from a simple intuition, which then needs to be studied, elaborated and perfected until it becomes a jewel with exclusive shapes and sensations.

HISTORY OF JEWELERY

THE EXECUTION

After a careful study of the drawing, we try to recreate movements and sensations by shaping the metal.

It requires a preventive in-depth study to identify the most suitable technique for its realization.

Only at this stage, the goldsmith begins to shape the metal by drilling and embossing plates in order to recreate the initial movements and sensations.

History of Jewelery - The casing

HISTORY OF JEWELERY

THE CASING

It is the last phase, but no less important than the others, on the contrary: the entire success of all the previous work depends on a good casing.

The expert hands of the goldsmith select and individually set each gem, even the smallest, cutting and engraving the metal so as to make the jewel shine with all its light.
